Pelican Wheelchair Boot Slider – Load Manual Wheelchairs into Your Car with Ease

The Pelican Wheelchair Boot Slider (also known as the Wheelchair Trunk Slider) is a practical and reliable aid for safely loading a manual wheelchair into your car boot. For many, lifting a wheelchair can be heavy and awkward—this tool makes the process faster, easier, and far less stressful.

The Boot Slider is designed for collapsible manual wheelchairs that fold side-to-side. It is not suitable for large, heavy electric wheelchairs or models that fold front-to-back. If you’re unsure about compatibility, our team will be happy to assist.

Three Simple Components

This product comes with three key parts, all available as spare items if needed:

• Boot Blanket: A padded cover that protects your car bumper and boot while creating a smooth, slippery surface for gliding the wheelchair.

• Slider Platform: Holds the folded wheelchair securely in place, with hook-and-loop straps for safe loading.

• Ground Protector: Shields the platform from rough surfaces and dirt. A webbing strap makes it easy to pick up without bending.

How to Use

1. Place the Boot Blanket across the rear of your car.

2. Open the Slider Platform cover and roll the folded wheelchair into position.

3. Secure the chair with the blue strap.

4. Lean the platform against the boot, then use the handles to lift. Most of the weight rests on the boot edge or your leg, reducing strain.

5. Step forward and slide the wheelchair smoothly inside.

To unload, simply reverse the process—pull the Slider slightly outward and gently guide the wheelchair to the ground using the handle.

✅ Important Note: This product works best with vehicles where the car boot lip is no higher than 30 inches (76 cm) from the ground.
