I bought this for my dad who is 84, cannot bend his left knee due to a botched knee joint replacement operation and he weighs close to 120 kg. So tyou can imagine he is in a precarious state of health. I believe this walking stick with the four legs and double handle will give him better leverage and stability when getting up out of a chair. It will help to remove the danger of him having a fall. Which if that happens requires an ambulance callout where they use a harness to lift him off the ground. The fact that ambulances carry this equipemtn and a procedure to use it suggests that falls for the elderly are more common than one would realise. So, fingers crossed this inexpensive (to me) and well made ‘quad cane’ as its called will be a valuable tool to enhance my fathers mobility.
